A few Sundays ago, MrTwist and I went shopping and browsing around Zürich. Shopping on a Sunday?, a SUNDAY IN SWITZERLAND??, you ask? Yes, I jest you not! Leading up to Christmas we’ll have had a total of TWO shopping Sundays!! Of course it means that everyone goes overboard and spends way too much money, just for the sake of Sunday shopping! But I digress, MrTwist dragged me into the ole Swiss favourite, Navyboot to take a look at some bags. See, he’s gotten into the habit of carrying a man-bag – what started out as a necessity to carry his meds, has now become his everyday accessory. He’s bought himself something cheap-and-practical in Florence, which I then replaced with something more rugged and sturdy from Diesel but with the regular use the zip has come undone and its just not good enough. As such he’s been on the lookout for a new bag, hence us ending up at Navyboot. We looked at the bags, I made him model a few and we eventually settled on one that was strong but handsome enough for everyday use. Of course, Navyboot doesn’t just carry men’s bags so I just had to browse the ladies’ shoe department – they often have true gems albeit overpriced in my opinion.

As we headed to the till with the bag I saw the most awesome rubber boots designed to look like biker boots!! If you recall, I was on a bit of a wellie mission a while back, loving one I’d seen from Armani. Quickly I requested my size to try on the boot but they didn’t have my size – fate I’m sure! I tried on one size smaller but it was a snug fit so I knew the next size would fit comfortably and asked the salesman if he could order it and have it delivered back to the store. Long story short.. he got the boot but when he called me last week, I couldn’t go get it and so I figure by now it would be sold to some lucky biker-wellie-loving-fashionista. Last night I get home from work and MrTwist was all encouraging me to go to the bedroom to ‘greet my cat’, there next to him on the bed was this:

So yes, I’m totally spoilt! He went and bought the boot for me, he even insisted I open the package immediately – I said I’d wait for Christmas like a good girl. Isn’t it gorgeous!!! I love this boot!

But now, since it is actually snowing outside, is it okay to wear today already? Especially since I only got it last night? What would you do?
